Article 1
Nature of the service & absence of medical advice
iAlacarte is a technological infrastructure for the semantic and nutritional processing of menus. Analyses, computations (Kcal, macronutrients, glycemic indices) and food-and-wine pairing suggestions are provided strictly for informational and educational purposes.
Data generated by the assistant in no case constitutes medical advice, a clinical diagnosis, a personalized dietary prescription or an absolute safety guarantee regarding the actual composition of the dishes served.
In plain language:
iAlacarte helps you make an informed choice; it does not replace the advice of a physician, a registered dietitian or an allergist.
Article 2
Liability waiver regarding AI hallucination risk
The user expressly acknowledges that technologies based on Artificial Intelligence and language analysis models, although anchored in the iAlacarte platform on strict institutional databases — ANSES/CIQUAL, FAO/INFOODS, USDA FoodData Central, RecipeNLG — carry a residual risk of interpretation, omission or semantic error commonly known as “hallucination”.
The publisher of the iAlacarte platform makes all reasonable efforts to minimize this risk (deterministic intelligent-analysis architecture anchored to the actual menu, safety guardrails, multi-source cross-checking). However, the publisher cannot be held liable for inaccuracies, omissions, approximations or decisions made by the user or the consumer on the basis of the AI Maitre d'Hotel responses.
Article 3
Recipe evolution clause (“living cuisine”) & partner venue liability
Automatic detection of ingredients, allergens and nutritional values is performed on the basis of the menu provided by the venue (PDF, photos, recipe sheets) and industry culinary standards. However, the head chef remains sovereign in the kitchen.
Occasional discrepancies may occur: last-minute ingredient substitution, change of supplier, stock shortage, addition of spices, binders or cooking auxiliaries not mentioned on the original menu, seasonal variations, or cross-contamination in the kitchen.
Legal liability:
the partner venue retains the full and exclusive legal liability for the compliance of the dishes actually served and the regulatory display of the 14 major allergens required by the European INCO Regulation (EU 1169/2011).
Article 4 · Critical
Mandatory disclosure obligation for the end consumer
The end consumer is the sole judge of the severity of their dietary constraints. In case of severe food allergy, serious medical condition (anaphylaxis, celiac disease, kidney failure, insulin-dependent diabetes, etc.) or any other vital dietary requirement, the consumer has a mandatory, non-negotiable obligation.
Critical alert:
the consumer must not rely exclusively on the digital interface and must declare, verbally and explicitly, their situation directly to the venue's on-site staff before placing any order and before any consumption. The iAlacarte assistant is a decision-support and transparency tool, never a first-line medical guarantee.
Absent this direct disclosure to staff, neither the publisher of iAlacarte nor the partner venue can be held responsible for any health consequences.
