FAQ

Frequently asked questions about iAlacarte

The most common questions asked by restaurateurs, hoteliers, and F&B managers before rolling out iAlacarte.

Is iAlacarte just a QR menu?
No. A QR menu simply displays a list of dishes; iAlacarte holds a conversation with the guest in 27 languages, helps them understand the menu, choose based on their stated requirements, and suggests pairings.
Can the AI make up an answer?
The risk of hallucination is reduced through structured ingestion of the menu, filtered retrieval, authoritative reference data, guardrails, and human validation. See Anti-hallucination architecture. No architecture, however, can guarantee zero errors.
Does iAlacarte give medical advice?
No. iAlacarte provides dietary guidance and nutritional information. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace any medical advice. In the case of a severe allergy, pregnancy, medical condition, or strict diet, the AI invites the guest to confirm with the floor team.
Are the dish photos real?
AI-generated images are indicative: automatically created from the declared ingredients and the menu's style. You can replace them with your own photos, dish by dish. A mandatory disclaimer is displayed: "indicative images, the actual plating may differ."
Does the system switch languages automatically?
Yes. iAlacarte detects the guest's language (text or voice), switches the entire interface, and conducts the conversation in that language across 27 supported languages. See Menu in 27 languages.
Is it suitable for hotels with multiple restaurants?
Yes. The Multi plan covers up to 3 service venues, with a persona per outlet, priority languages, and centralized oversight. Beyond that, Enterprise is designed for hotel groups and chains.
Can I retain control over sensitive information?
Yes. The operator can validate, correct, or disable any piece of information (allergen, hidden ingredient, disclosure). Changes are logged and applied immediately.
How are allergens handled?
iAlacarte structures the 14 INCO allergens (EU 1169/2011), flags typical hidden allergens, and suggests alternatives when the menu allows. For severe allergies, confirmation with the floor team is systematically reiterated. See Allergens & diets.
How does the estimated nutrition score work?
The score is a Nutri-Score-style estimate calculated from declared ingredients and portions. It is not an official certification. See Restaurant Nutri-Score.
What does the Solo plan include?
1 menu / 1 service venue with 27 languages, AI photos, INCO allergens, estimated nutrition, Nutri-Score, food and wine pairings, health guardrails, and a supervision dashboard. See Pricing.
What does the Multi plan include?
Up to 3 outlets (restaurant + bar + room service, for example), a persona per outlet, centralized oversight, and audit trail. Additional outlet: +€29/month. See Pricing.
What are the add-ons?
Outlets beyond 3, ordering module, premium QR / printed materials, POS/PMS integrations. See Pricing for details.
