Conversational multilingual

A guest experience in 27 languages, with no static translation

Translating a menu is not an experience. iAlacarte switches the entire interface and the entire conversation into the guest's language — without freezing your menu into 27 different PDFs.

Principle

The guest's language becomes the language of service

From the very first interaction, iAlacarte detects the guest's language (text or voice), switches the entire interface — labels, CTAs, dish cards, FAQ — and leads the conversation through to the final choice in that language.

If the guest switches languages mid-journey, the context is preserved.

Detection

Automatic in text or in voice

  • Text: detected on the first entry, manually adjustable by the guest.
  • Voice: recognition of the spoken language in the audio turn, persisted for the session.
  • Persistent preference: the language chosen during the visit is preserved across subsequent screens.
Interface

Labels, CTAs, dish cards, replies

The translation is structural: navigation, sections, sub-sections, prices, allergens, legal notices, error messages, confirmation screens. The experience is fully localized, not just the dish menu.

Gastronomic translation

Grape varietals, cooking temperatures, ingredients, specialties

Cuisine cannot be translated literally. Pink-cooked duck breast, tuna tataki, rare doneness, Syrah varietal are rendered with their full gastronomic weight, not by a word-for-word translation.

Local specialties keep their original name when it makes sense, and receive an explanatory note in the guest's language.

Use cases

Tourists, hotels, international zones

🏠

International hospitality

Palaces, chain hotels, resorts: a single AI Maître d'Hôtel for every nationality across the property.

Airports, train stations, transit zones

The guest is passing through and in a hurry. The language sets itself.

🍴

Tourist downtown

Capture an international clientele without printing ten versions of the menu.

🎢

Cruises, resort complexes

Multiple restaurants, multiple atmospheres, a single language infrastructure.

Brand voice

Brand tone preserved in every language

The brand voice (see Personas) applies regardless of the language. A Japanese palace receives a hushed recommendation in Japanese; an Italian brasserie, a warm suggestion in Italian.
